What area do you build in?

Timberline Custom Homes is located and primarily builds in the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario, Canada.

With a natural wealth of clean, sparkling lakes and rivers and varied landscapes, it's easy to see why the First Nations people called this area Kawartha (Land of Shining Waters). The area includes some of Canada's most important navigable water routes of streams, rivers and lakes. The Trent Severn Waterway, stretching from Georgian Bay to Lake Ontario, has become a popular holiday playground.

These waterways and open spaces enchant nature-lovers, inspire artists and provide a habitat for countless species of wildlife. Within the Kawarthas you’ll find the city of Peterborough and surrounding picturesque towns and villages with indoor and outdoor galleries and theatres, historic parks, ideal places to picnic, swim or sail, cottages, fishing and more.

At Timberline, we custom build any type of home. We build your home to your specifications providing our own expertise to help you articulate what you like based on your lifestyle and needs.

Is a Timberline Home expensive?

We pride ourselves at Timberline in providing the best quality-built custom designed homes and top-notch services. You will find our pricing fair and you will receive excellent value for your money.

What is your square foot price?

At Timberline Custom Homes we don’t give an initial square foot price as it can be misleading. Each project is unique and requires special consideration. As all Timberline homes are custom built it is important to have an initial consultation to find out what you are trying to build based on your tastes and lifestyle needs. You'll receive a rough estimate after an initial consultation. It is important to have a design before giving a price.

At what point do I have to pay any money?

Our Initial Consultation is always free come to the Timberline office — we’ll sit down and talk about your ideas.

The Preliminary Design Stage is billed at $60 per hour.

After initial design discussions and concepts have been completed a down payment for your Timberline Custom Home plan will be expected.

Are you comfortable building on challenging terrain (ie. Rock)?

At Timberline Custom Homes we have experience building on all types of terrain. We've even built on a straight cut of rock on a 45 degree angle.

How soon can you build?

Physical building can happen within a month of drawings and permit completion depending on season and weather.

How long does it take to build a Timberline home?

Once the custom design of your Timberline home has been been completed, expect at least four months from ground dig to completion depending on the season and size of home.
