In the initial design the use of angles add a custom dimension. Little jogs in the walls, a variety of window shapes and roof lines all add interesting features to the custom home. To keep a unique style Timberline Custom Home designers try to stay away from a square looking house. This requires extra skill in building but Timberline is up for the challenge every time!

Timberline uses prefinished hard board siding, textured and coloured in a variety of patterns providing the look of traditional siding with superior durability. This product is less susceptible to shrinking, cracking, and fading. Tongue and groove siding can be used to give a log home effect.

Timberline will work with the client to determine what sort of exterior finish is best for the unique style of the home. Log siding, cultured stone, vinyl are all used. Everything is pre-finished – before it is attached to the house.

Cultured stone is used on the interior and exterior of homes and is virtually undetectable from natural stone but less expensive, is more readily available and can be colour matched.

Windows are considered the "eyes of the house" to Timberline designers. The eyes are looking in and out and are very important to the initial concept of the house especially since many Timberline Homes are built along shore lines, amongst trees and rocks.

Custom milled white cedar is used by Timberline Custom Homes for decking. Decks are designed to look substantial and firm yet need to compliment the house. Timberline can use all types of decking including maintenance-free plastic decking.
